You’re Doing What With Network Marketing?

what are you doing with network marketingLately, I have been getting a lot of blank stares and looks that really seem to be saying” are you crazy”? You mean you aren’t going to run out there and find another dead-end, high-pressure sales job (my words) right away?   You see, these days I run around everyday excited about working, happy with my new home business, thrilled to be learning more things than I ever thought my brain could handle, and most people I tell about it, just don’t seem to get it.  I try to explain about helping others first and how not shoving my products at people is the way to go, and for the most part, they just stand there and stare.

Or the first question is always – “and when do you start making money at this?”  It is so hard to explain this whole concept of network marketing and attraction marketing to someone who has never heard of it.  Oh well, all I know is I am enjoying the heck out of it and I have never been happier – the money will come.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t blame people for their reactions, in fact that was me not too long ago. I really can understand where they are coming from, because for the last 15 years, I never knew there was anything else out there either.  I spent every day trying to beat the next guy to the sale; all out for myself and not stopping to notice anyone else because – that is just the way it was.

If you weren’t behaving this way, you didn’t last too long in the outside sales industry.  I didn’t have time to worry about helping anyone who was struggling. I needed to be concerned about where the next sale was coming from and what lengths I would have to go through to get it.  But, hey that is what is expected in the “normal” sales world.  Yuck!!  I look back and wonder how I ever did that for so many years.

I actually got laid off from my last sales job, and it was the first time I had ever been “let go” from anywhere.  I was really devastated at the time, but it did force me to look at myself and reevaluate everything – and by some dumb luck I was introduced to network marketing, and the rest is history.  Well, really not so much about history, but a fantastic look into my present and future! – Now I feel like I can breathe for the first time in a long time. AAAAHHHH!

I have always loved helping people, but I just really never had the chance to do that much during my outside sales career.  But now – look out!  You see, network marketing and attraction marketing means just that: a network of people helping each other, with the main goal for everyone to succeed.  You no longer have to feel like you’re alone or stranded by yourself out in the big bad world ever again.  Everyone wins with this, and it feels great making a difference in someone’s life, no matter how small it may seem.

I have never been a part of something so great!  And this week, just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, I found something else that has simply blown my mind!  Are you part of a tribe yet?  I was asked this question and had no idea what it meant.  However, as I investigated it further I couldn’t believe what I found.  There is a totally new movement out there and if you are not involved in it right now, you are already behind!  It takes helping one another to a whole new crazy level!

I will talk about his more soon, but for now if you want more information about this and how you can get involved, send me a note in my Contact Me section.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Yours In Success,

  1. Glyna,
You are so right. The tribe does take helping each other to the next level. I am so fortunate to be a apart of one.

On the other hand, a lot of people do not understand the whole network marketing aspect. Most people think it is a pyramid scheme, but in reality it is Corporate America who uses the pyramid scheme. The one at the top always makes more. In network marketing the one who helps the most people gets paid more. They can be at the top or at the bottom of a line of people, it doesn’t matter.

  2. I couldnt agree more Glyna and frequently run into the same thing. Keep doing what your doing and the people who dont get “attraction marketing yet” will soon indirectly, because they will become attracted to you 🙂

    All the best,

    Gabriel

  3. Glyna,

You are definitely on the right track to experience super-charged success! Anyone who speaks against Network Marketing clearly doesn’t understand it. I recommend Jordan Adler’s book “Beach Money” to give an understanding of NWM.

As far as the TRIBE… I’m speechless! 😉 It certainly does take helping one another to a new level!

  4. Hi Glyna,

As the saying goes…”welcome to the rest of your life.” I too have been in sales in one way, shape, or form for most of my working life. The idea that people in sales are supposed to help others as you point out is really misleading. What we end up doing many times is helping them buy our product or service and then we’re outta there and on the the next bigger better deal.

The community you have discovered and described exists and is very unique. It doesn’t surprise me that you get blank stares and looks of confusion. Most people don’t get it. I’m glad you do. Hang on for the ride of your life!

  5. You know Glyna what you say is right on point in this post. Network Marketers who are traditionally running around (offline) trying to pitch their business to everything with a pulse literally have no clue that these kind of Internet Marketing strategies even exist.

It’s kind of crazy to think that now you don’t have to worry about quality leads coming in with the Internet and that you can even qualify those leads with your sales funnel so you end up only spending your time with the people who are ready to join you in business.

    I love technology!

  6. I know – isn’t it great? I hate bugging friends and family to look at my latest venture! Thanks for the comment Matthew! I appreciate your kind words:)

  7. Hi Glyna,

This post is so accurate! What were you doing at my house? LOL! I feel exactly like you do! Everyone keeps saying, “But, how do you make money???” people either get it or they don’t! If for some reason, the money never came, it wouldn’t matter because it has been like school and I’ve learned soooo much valuable info! But I believe in the process and so far, it is working and I get to have blast doing it!

    Thanks for this fabulous post!

  8. Mentor Mama – So glad to have you visiting me. It is good to know other people have the same experience:) I agree with you – it has been like being in school and I am not sure how much more my brain can take:)

  9. So true what you are saying – the money will follow. To paraphrase Zig Ziglar, “To get what you want, help enough people to get what they want.”
By helping each other spread each other’s words and share each other’s markets, we can’t help but attract those who are interested in what we are offering.

  10. Network marketing and along with that, attraction marketing are two viable ways of making serious income these days.

I have found that because of the current state of the economy, more people are open minded to looking at the industry than ever before.

You have an excellent blog here Glyna. Keep up the great work!

  11. Hello Glyna,

Enjoyed reading your post. Yes, many people don’t know what they think they know about Network Marketing. I guess that is one of our jobs to educate…

Speaking of education…I was at a wedding reception a few years back and I made it a point to ask ten people who were there what was the last book they read since high school…All ten said NONE! Wowie!

Keep up the great work and you have a great blog going on…

    Wishing you all my best…

  12. Good for you Glyna for your stand for network marketing. You have chosen to get out of the herd and all they want to do is bring you back because if you’re successful, which I’m sure you will be with your attitude, then you will just prove them wrong and show them their failure to move forward themselves. Who cares what they think, they don’t anyway.

    Thanks,

    Michael
